International Velomobile-Meeting 2008

with the target of getting together and exchanging different views among velomobilists the

International Velomobile Meeting 2008
shall take place on

26th to 28th September 2008


the meeting will take place as in the year 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 in the area of Giessen in Germany. But due to the large amount of participants it shall be hold at "The Jugendherberge Wetzlar".

All velomobile users e.g. Leitra, Alleweder, Go-one, Cab-Bike, Quest, Mango, Versatile, Butterfly, Leiba, Waw, own constructions, etc. and also recumbents are welcome.

At the meeting place there are sleeping possibilities for up to 186 people.

The cost per person is € 65,00 and includes 2 nights with breakfast and supper.

For participants not sleeping in the place € 20.00

How to get there:

from Giessen Down-Town ride towards Heuchelheim. On the Heuchelheimer Str. ride under the highway and traffic light till the next traffic light. Turn left into the Giessener Str. (=L3359) towards Wetzlar. The L3359 becommes Bachsstr. at the round-about. After 2.2km ride under the highway and than right into the Wetzlarstr. (=L3451). After 7.7km left into the Frankfurter Str. After 200m right into the Lessingstr. which follows into the Uhlandstr. At the end left into the Volpershäuserstr. After 100m right into the Stoppelberger Hohl. After 400m right into Am Sturzkopf. After 300m turn to the left and after 100m turn to the right into the Richard-Schirrmann-Str.

  * 14.00 o´clock ride back incl.Up-hill race
  * 16.00 o´clock Meeting and discussions
  * till 19.00 o´clock Dinner
  * Evening: get-together

Sunday, 28th Sept.
  * breakfast + lunch-bag
  * riding (or driving) back home
